  • We hired the Espree Marquee from Canvas Knights for a small festival, and used it as our primary stage/tent - and it was absolutely perfect. During the day we had karaoke, prize giving, DJ sets, and a ceilidh (traditional dance) in there; after dark, it turned into a club (we added the sides on). It worked exceptionally for all purposes.

    It looks gorgeous, it feels sturdy and elegant, is easily configurable (the sides can be taken off or put on very easily, in almost whatever order you like), and Canvas Knights did both setup and setdown for us fairly quickly, in a friendly manner, and unintrusively. Canvas Knights were also very communicative and clear about pricing and logistics (setup time, available dates and extras etc), meaning there was never any doubt when anything would be happening, or what we needed to pay.

    Canvas Knights offer a collection of 'add-ons' that I'd highly recommend: the Outdoor Festoon Lighting is great, and can go on the inside or the outside (we put it on the outside, so it provided lighting around the tent), the mist machine and the gig bar (lighting bar) both added to our 'club' setup. They also have battery powered any-colour uplighters that you can pop anywhere (we shone ours up a nearby tree, and used as mood lighting in the Espree tent in the early hours, and after the music had ended). There are more if you want them: deck chairs, speakers, etc, though we didn't need these.

    I'd highly recommend Canvas Knights, and the Espree, for any party, wedding, or gathering that fits in the 40-120 people region. We had around 100 people dancing in there, though I reckon you could get in 120-140 (for more of a 'club' feel).
